Does HEX-F actually satisfy the NFPA 10 monthly inspection requirements?
Yes. HEX-F automates all four checks NFPA 10 (2010) §7.2.2 requires every month — that the extinguisher is in its designated location, unobstructed, showing a pressure gauge in the operable range, and full by weight. Its sensors verify these continuously and log the results automatically.
What’s in the monthly report, and is it survey-ready?
HEX-F auto-generates a monthly inspection report aligned to NFPA 10 and CMS/AHJ expectations, including a captured image of each pressure gauge. Records are digital, time-stamped, and downloadable on demand — replacing paper tags and binders that are easy to lose before a survey.
How does HEX-F check each extinguisher?
Each unit uses three sensors. An Optical Sensor reads the pressure gauge and captures a gauge image for the report; a Smart Hook weighs the extinguisher, confirms it’s in its designated spot, and detects tampering or removal; and a Time-of-Flight Obstruction Sensor continuously confirms the area in front is clear.
Does it work on all extinguisher types and sizes?
The mount is designed to adapt to all different extinguisher types and sizes.
What’s required to install HEX-F?
No wiring and no Wi-Fi. Units connect themselves to a cellular gateway over low-frequency radio; the gateway simply plugs into a standard AC outlet. There’s no cabling run to each extinguisher and no facility network involved.
